All over the NY subway

Walking around in New York City right now, you can’t miss images of our FLUID chair under the heading: Artists Shaping Culture: Form Versus Function. We are proud to announce that FLUID is shown on all the screens around the New York Subway.

In 2022, FLUID was born under severe time and development pressure as the last project for our participation in the TV program Denmark’s Next Classic. One fifth of Denmark’s population watched; we were so close to failure, but still managed to create the first FLUID chair.

The first FLUID ”hatched” on New Year’s Eve, and was awarded second place by the jury in the program. Politiken’s reviewer Lars Hedebo subsequently wrote in his review of the program that it deserved a special award for its “wildness”.

The same year, FLUID was introduced to American art collectors at Design Miami, where the trade press called it, among other things: “A New Call of the Wild”. FLUID was shortlisted here – together with four other chairs – for the permanent collection of MOMA (San Francisco). FLUID did not win, but we were proud of the candidacy. In summary, there is something wild about FLUID.

FLUID is currently exhibited in New York, Los Angeles and Dubai. It has been shown at the Dallas Art Fair and FOG Design & Art in San Francisco. FLUID’s journey into the world has been made in collaboration with many great partners, of which we would like to highlight our collaboration with Hostler Burrows (NY and LA). It is also Hostler Burrows who, together with the global art platform Artsy, have paved the way for FLUID being displayed on New York’s Subway stations and trains.
